And more sensible logic behind their spring rates as well. Even though H&R holds their spring rate info as dear as coke holds dears the coke classic formula. I won't whine about Eibach's 350Z spring rates, but the G35 sedan rates are not something I'd ever use. (yes I drive a sedan, not a coupe but love the FM )

OK, next ?...........OEM spring rates?
I'm pressing for the same info. Absolutely have to have the stock spring rate info as a base line to judge any lowering spring rate info. Yes you can make some judgement's based on how much a given vehicle weigh's. But it's not the same as knowing where your truely starting from and what logic was applied from the start. Like front to rear spring rate balance (or in-balance).

I've been meaning to call progress grounp or Ground-control and see if I can send one of them a set of stock 350Z springs I have to put on a spring dyno (if that's what you call the machine that measure's spring rates) to get the stock spring rate info.

If anyone has a better idea of where to send a set of springs to be tested to find out spring rates, let me know. Maybe I should do a post on www.sccaforums.com and the grassroots motorsports forum as well.

Here in Chicago, there used to be a "Roundy-Round" shop that would rate springs for a nominal fee. I'm sure you have a few of them in CA. Try calling a few circle track shops....I'm sure you can find one close to you that can do it.

Make sure they check them at 1", 2" & 3" compression.

Good luck! WE NEED A BASELINE!

Just checked again, it's actually a TEIN HIGH TECH springs.

The installer claims it'll have a 1" drop, but I don't think its that much up to this day. Almost 2 week installed...

Default Just lowered my Z with Tein S.tech

I bought a set of wheels a couple months ago... they are Racing hart CR multi-piece gunmetal 19x8.5 front and 19x10 rear... My freinds keep on telling to lower it... and i finally did! I was gonna use the Eibach Prokit, but a friend of mines recommended the Tein S.tech... With the S.tech springs i got about a finger and a half gap in the front and 2 to 3 fingers gap in the rear... i am new to this forum... can someone tell me if my springs are gonna settle any lower... today its the second day i had it on... thanks

To accurately know how much they have dropped, you would have needed to measure the height before the springs and then after to see if you are getting the advertised drop that Tein is saying will happen when the springs are installed. Measure from the center of the wheel to the edge of the fender. Maybe someone can do that for you if they have the same size wheels and tires and get you that measurement. Then take your measurement and see if they have dropped as much as Tein says it should. The 2nd day is not long enough for them to settle just yet. Give it at least a week and a half to two weeks before worrying about the height.

Those are some pretty sweet rims. I have the same color car and i'm still trying to decide what rims to get. I would go with coil overs though, that way you can get the perfect drop. But those S techs look pretty good.

True... i am thinking of installing some Tein type Flex soon.. When i parked my car next to my freinds lowered 03 NSX... my car didn't look lowered at all!!! I also like the volk racing TE37 limited edition with gunmetal spokes and polished lip... maybe you can look into that also!!!

hows the ride? The stock ride is a bit bouncy, doesnt bother me but the passengers all get headaches.

Im interested in a 1.2-1.5 drop

i suggest u go with eibach pro kit, u will achieve the 1.2 to 1.5 drop... the tein s.tech rides better over stock... but i am not really sure about the eibach... i been on one with eibach installed, it felt pretty comfortable...
