STOPTECH BRAKE for 04 WON'T FIT MY 07?
#21
Just to clarifty, the 06+ cars have larger rotors and calipers with larger piston sizes from the factory. There was also an increase in rear rotor size but Im not sure off the top of my head if the rear calipers have the same size pistons as earlier cars or not since the rear pad shape was not changed.
Because of the increase in brake torque front and rear, we developed a new setup for the newer cars. Since our kits are designed to work with stock rear brakes and MC, we had to offer a new front only kit that was compatible with the increase in rear brake torque through the larger rotor. We also developed a new rear kit in order to offer an upgrade path for those who would want to upgrade their rear brakes at a later date.
Our older 4 wheel kit is an option for those with newer cars but the ABS and VDC systems may not work ideally. If a front only kit or rear upgrade to an existing BBK is being done, the kit for the specific year of car should be used.
Hope that helps
