BC Racing Suspension (Install, and initial impression) Review
I know these are not 20x stiffer than lowering springs.
or are they?

I kinda figured that much. Sure, the 450/520 numbers I see are lb/inch.
Not sure what the unit of measure is for the 8k/10k numbers
EDIT - I figured it out after some web searching. It's kg/mm - metric spring rate. To convert lb/in to kg/mm you multiply by 0.0179 and to convert kg/mm to lb/in you divide by 0.0179. So 8k/10k equals ~446/559 lb-in

These are much stiffer... mostly used on competition only cars.. if your Z is your daily, you might want to look at the softer rate springs.

Z coilovers don't have adjustable camber plates
6 inch drop on a Z would put it underground
standard spring rates are 10/8 on a Z
Installed the BC Suspension kit two nights ago went very well, was wondering if there is a Alignment Spec?
Also quik suggestion make sure you run the extenders before you install the rear struts.
Thanks

I would also be interested in knowing which coilover would be better suited for my purpose the pss10 or bc racing ER series.
I'm really into tracking and the Z, but most of the driving is done on the streets. So what I'm looking for is a compromise obviously. The BC racing is about 400$ cheaper here, but I don't care too much about the price difference. I just want the better coilover. I know there is no definitive answer, but any info that would help my decision making would be appreciated.

They have been running two seasons of Time Attack on them, as well as Braille Battery's has them on there Drift cars and Time Attack cars.
After a lot of research this is the way to go for me.
Hope your journey is over soon too.
BC Racing number is 407-637-2941
Nice ride btw pretty clean
From my experience with my G35 Coupe, with the BC coilovers you can nearly set it on the ground in the front....and go PLENTLY low in the rear. (I do not have ears to hear the objective stance on the definition of "plenty" so please do not post it). Do not worry about the amount you can lower your Z/G worry about ride quality, cost, durability, ect.
