My 2007 Base coupe

specs:
Volk GTS 9.5x19(F) 30 offset
Volk GTS 10.5x19(R) 28 offset

Toyo 255/35-19 (F)
Toyo 285/35-19 (R)

I'm thinking of dropping the rear .5 in. if I go more and will have to roll the fenders (avoiding at all costs.. ), alternatives; do the springmount mod or change only rear springs.

Suggestions, tips, pointers appreciated!

Our cars are already substantially low as it is. Lowering it further will sacrifice drive-ability for a tiny bit more top end speed. I'd spend my money on something else. Nice wheels, though.

 

i would only say lowered because you have rims. They look weird not lowered.

I had to have my ride lowered on 19's because of the big gap, but yours doesn't seem that bad, and stock ride is a smoother, but with my experience with these two springs I had, it feels much more planted, and its not bad as you people say sacrificing ride quality, I had the H&R sports on my 05, and Tanabe Gf-210's on my 06, both were very good....and even on stock wheels i would add them just for the much more planted feel....But then again your wheels gap is not bad at all.....

 

you already did things in the wrong order, lower first, rims second. And lower it all around, none of that ***** .5" in the rear only

 

or keep it how it is and buy some body work. front lip, sides, maybe rear?

 

Definitely lower. Tein S.Tech, Hotchkis, or RSR will be good enough since your wheel gap ain't that excessive.

looks to me like you have the +17 and +18 offsets

i have the same wheels diff tires (same size) and was contemplating the same thing

i cut my fenders back about half way and still rub just barely when really getting into it

i was thinking of same height just maybe stiffer springs

 

Damn is this really abig deal before getting rims?

Ive been preplanning everything before I pick up my Z in December and this hadnt even occured to me. Mostly because of my steep driveway and where I live so it would be inconvienant.

Black...I'll double check on the offsets, pretty sure 28/30 though

if your going to lower it do it right the first time and get some nice coilovers and camber kits

Those offsets look to be +17/+18 to me, unless you are running spacers. Definitely needs to be lowered though. Awesome looking Z btw

 

drop it 1 inch all the way around

 

A proper drop = .75" progrressive springs, quality struts, then propper camber and toe settings. $600 for the right job.

 

Lower it heres +17 -+18 offsets on tanabe nf-210's looks so much better with no wheel gap imo
