Default 300zx (Z32) brake calipers on 350Z (Z33)

There is a small machine shop on ebay selling machined brackets that adapt 300zx stock calipers to a 350Z. I am wondering if any members have tried this setup and if there is any economy to this setup versus a standard big brake kit. For example, how common are Z32 stock calipers? If one had to purchase these new from a Nissan dealer, would they cost as much as the stock 350z Brembos? On the other hand, they might be inexpensive at a salvage yard. BTW the brackets sell for about $100 a set.

reread , it is an adapter to put 350Z brakes onto a 300ZX, not the other way around. do a search since this has been discussed already.

My friend HATES his 300ZX Turbo brakes. They are inferior to the 350s.

The stock stopping power of the 350 should be more than adequate unless your are tracking your Z.

Actually they don't suck. It's probably the most popular upgrade for S-chassis'. But for a car that weighs a good bit more, I would not see it as an upgrade.

I had 300zx brakes on my 98 240sx, and couldnt really tell a big difference performance wise, but they shure did look purdy! Ive heard that the 350z brakes are superior, but I hate ugly sliding calipers. All 350zs should come with fixed calipers!

you can find them really easily on ebay or on some 300zx forums. you could try to get the r32 gtr calipers since they are very similar to the z32's.

i think what you are talking about is actaualy an adaptor that lets the 300zx caliper accept a 350z rotor. cause those are pretty popular among 300zx owners that dont want to go with a bbk. never heard of the other way around
