Default Motive Brake Bleeder

I'm thinking of getting a Motive brake bleeder. Problem is, I'm not sure what to get. I've got three vehicles I'll use it on: '03 Z, '91 GMC Syclone, '98 Pontiac GP GTP

Looks like the Z would use the adapter in the 0107 kit or the 1107 adapter, the GTP will use the 1108 adapter, and the Syclone will use an 1105 universal style adapter that attaches with some kind of chains and bolts.

Or, I could just go with the 0101 bleeder that uses a generic adapter and chains/bolts for the Z and GTP as well.

Not sure how well those universal adapters work, and the Motive representative I emailed mentioned something about the possibility of the chain type adapters requiring a C clamp on the Syclone as: " If it is the plastic reservoir, you may have to use a c-clamp in addition to the chain and bolts provided with the kit. That reservoir tends to distort when our adapter is attached and bolted on."

That worries me a bit about the universal adapters in general.

Anybody have much experience with these?

Also looking for good prices on whatever I get if anybody has a good supplier that's cheaper than Motive's site.

I'm looking at getting one as well. The main difference in all of them is just the adapter. I would ask them if you could buy the adapters for use with the basic bottle.

I'm trying to do it with as few of the $30 adapters as possible while still getting something that will do the job

Oh damn I didn't realize those adapters cost that much.

You need the ford 3 prong adapter.
You can also call motive to verify but that's what I've been using for 3 years on my Z now.

I just used the 0101 universal adapter yesterday on my Brembo model. It worked well enough but it one point the Motive bottle fell over and for whatever reason the resevoir on the car decided to take this cue to begin leaking everywhere. Needless to say I ended up with a mess. I ended up having my fiancee assist with a traditional bleed after using the motive and there was still a substantial amount of air.
The universal adapter did hold pressure very well, but I had a tough time getting it on and off. Ended up running the chain under the master cylinder and had a b***h of a time getting it off, which created even more mess. Something always goes wrong when doing home mechanics though so its par for the course. If you were to design a better way to secure it (the hook and chain method is absolute garbage) it could be much better. If I didn't have a RSX to work on, or wasn't planning to own other cars in the future I would have gone with the Ford adapter for sure.

The 0107 is the specific one for the Z/G35/Evo/Sti. I have it and it works beautifully for my G. Don't waste your time with the bolt and chain one.

I also have the 0107 and it works great! Brake bleeding is a simple one man 20 minute process now...
