Reducing Noise from Coilovers - ie. Foam Pads
Ok, a long long time ago I read a thread that had very good information on how to reduce clicking/knocking noises from the top bushings of rear shocks. Basically, they took some foam/rubber dinner place mats and cut them in the shape of the upper mount. Then they installed the shock with the foam between the shock and the mounting position. It was sort of a DIY with pictures, etc.
Does anyone know where that thread is? I tried searching from it, but there are too many threads to look in. I just want to know if I go the procedure right and what exact material I can use. I don't want the material to deteriorate over time and have the top mount loosen.
Thanks in advance to whoever helps me find it.

This might be it, but I'm not sure. Looks familiar.

Let me know if anyone has some other suggestions. Thanks,
Btw, this is for a OEM type coilover, not true coilover.
