sportlines VS. NF210's??
My head is about to explode from searching.
Which will give me the best drop. I have seen pics of both but I heard the eibach sport will settle more.
Also any major difference between the linear and progressive setup? I heard both ride better than stock.
thanks for any input.

thats the thing there are tons of threads on the GF, but not the NF.
I know progressive will be a bit softer but curious about damping at highway speeds. It may be overdamped or teh linear Tanabes may be underdamped.
I def do NOT want the GF's I prefer a raked look over a level/ or BMW style lower in the rear look.
I may just go with sportlines since I know they will get me low and have a level stance.

It's a lot more complicated then that. Add in a large number of people that only care about how the car looks vs maintaining how well it is a sport car and things get foggy at best.
NF may be linear, but they have spring rates that are almost the same as oem, nothing is present to prevent the bump stops from becomming secondary springs and theirby spiking the effective spring rates much higher. GF does have higher spring rates, but we still aren't really taking about rates that will prevent the bumpstops from playing a role.
Sportlines do have higher final spring rates, but they also have very soft initial spring rates. IMO, a better choice with less rate spread and higher peak rates they the GF210's would be the Pro-kit setup.
Oem spring rates 2003/2004
314/342
Oem spring rates 2004.5/2007
314/427
Tanabe NF210 Series 350Z 1.2”/1.2” higher
Spring rates in LBS 314/353
Tanabe GF210 Series 350Z progressive springs 1”/1.2”
Spring rates in LBS 336/375 (only peak rates are published, softer initial progressive rates unknown)
Eibach 350Z sportline progressive springs 1.2"/1.2"
F: 239/400 R: 257/435
Eibach 350Z progressive springs 1”/1”
Spring rates in LBS initial/final front 296/384 initial/final rear 316/421
For good measure
Hotchkis 350Z Linear springs .6”/.8”
Spring rates in lbs 340/330
Tein S-tech 350Z springs .7“.6“ (fronts are slightly progressive, rears are linear)
Spring rates in LBS 386/402 (estimated front intial rate is 327lbs)

great info sir!!!
Funny cause even the numbers lean me towards making the choice between sportlines and NF210's.
in all honesty its a 200 dollar decision so I could easily just buy the others if I didnt like the original.
I daily drive my car and auto-x it at every local event. I would sacrifice a tad bit of feel and turn in at the auto-x in order to enjoy my drive to work, dinner, and rides with the girlfriend.

And to what you stated earlier about looks>performance, it is all relative to what the desired purpose of the car is. My rx-7 is my road race car, completely gutted, caged, unbelieble spring rates and multilink suspension etc etc, it is an all out car.
My Z is my get around and local auto-x car, and I would rather have that raked look and mildly improved performance to suit its purpose.
I am not lashing out at you. I agree with your statement. Just wanting to state that is is only relative to what the owner/car's intended purpose is.
