My brake warning light (the orange exclamation point) came on at around 600 miles on my new Z. I checked the brake fluid and it is right at the max line. So, I headed over to Nissan to get them to look at it but they were packed, and said it would be 4 days before they could look at it, so I scheduled an appointment.

In the interim (later that same day actually) the brake light went off, and remained off for about a week. Nissan said they would need to see the car when the warning light was on so since it had gone off, that was a no go. Anyhow, today it came back on again. It's actually gone on and off a couple times now. Anyone have any idea what this might be?

 

Normally, it means that you either have low brake fluid or it could be caused by the e-brake switch (or you have the e-brake applied).

 

Bad connection, intermittent short to ground....could be several things
