I have - many w/ a lot more hp than this Z of mine...
it does happen to every car with lowering and raising springs/ spacers/ etc....
I see it a lot more than some may think... a kid with a new car lowers it and 20k down the road comes in to try to warranty shocks b/c they're leaking due to the 1.5" - 2.5" drop hes got on them....

10 bucks says his search went something like this......search: lowering springs .......there are 9,999,999,999,999 threads covering that topic. What ash and frenzy said are correct, and everyone else below it. Search is your friend, that is all we are saying. Now you know the answer. Let me know where you work Ash lol, I will try to do that soon.

However, many people dont see the "shock prematuring" in reality even though it does happen. Sure it shorts a couple miles maybe. You have to buy new shocks on down the road anyhow.
Many.. many.. many people in the entire world just buy lowering springs. then wait your 30,000 miles or whatever it is, and buy new shocks.
not everyone wastes money on coilovers to have their 1.5" drop.

not everyone has money like i said, just don't get mad if you have blown shocks or your ride is horrible. If you have money, do it the right way, or don't do it at all. And if you do, don't really complain. Half *** jobs get half *** results.
