Confused
Sry to start a new thread, but the other one is being attacked by the search police. Anyway is it possible for me to buy springs only and not buy shocks. If so, how fast will my shocks get worn out.
You Need To Search This Has Been Discussed More Times Than I Care To Say. But 1. Yes You Can And 2. They Will Last Anywhere Between 1-1000000000000000000000000000 Miles Hope That Helps K Thx Bi!
Dude, who cares? If a stock 350z can last over 150,000 miles, i think that includes the shocks. Personally, i would not be worried much about stock parts when it comes upgrading your care. More so the parts im upgrading.

What is the benefit between a coilover set and other options. I am assuming that coilovers are an all in one option. And I always that that a drop, an in just droping the car by only replacing the springs, will wear down the shocks considerably. I'm sry but I have searched and some of these answers are a little hard to find, and I don't have very much time to go look at all the past thread. Thank you for your time though.
your shocks will wear out at an exponential factor of 12 for every 20k miles.
so it just gets worse and they dive quickly.
don't do it. springs will ruin your car and are extremely dangerous on stock dampeners.

1 inch is extreme on the Z.
coilovers are good, but the best idea would be to stay at stock ride height. or if you are worried about costs you can mod the stock dampeners by simply unscrewing the inner piston and rod fromt he casing and cutting it shorter to go with the springs. a good fabricator would only charge you probably 25 a strut to modify them and then the whole system will work together better.

to the OP, you can buy springs only, its called lowering springs.
the shocks and everything is called coilovers.
springs only is the most popular way of lowering your car.
i, personally, will never buy coilovers unless I track race the car.
Around town, ill stick to lowering springs and use the other 1500 towards some rims.
