Look at the engineering behind the application. I've seen AP brakes executed very poorly (AP Truck calipers on a 700hp RSX).

As for production parts, haven't heard too much about them.

Which racing series? I'm not saying that Wilwood isn't used but a lot more use Brembos if I'm not mistaken. Especially if your talking about the other half of the world.
Then if you go to Japan it's Alcon, Biot, Project Mu, Brembo, Endless and etc.(not in any specific order)
Anyways AP racing makes very good brakes.

One of the best brakes every made. I have them and Love them. AP BBK + Goodridge SS brake lines + Motul RBF600 = Best combination I've ran.
Down sides: Expensive, replacements are hare to find. Rear calipers clearance with wheels are very tricky. Not all 18" track wheels will fit the front 14.25" Rotors.

AP Racing brakes are among the best brake kits you can get for these cars. They are better suited for tracking than the street but are a very good all around brake kit. The replacement pads and rotors are not cheap, but that is to be expected. There is not much out there on the market for these cars that is on par with this kit (I am refering to the 14.2" 6 pot front and the 13.5" 4 pot rear, complete kit).
For the price consious and more street drivin vehicles.....I would recomend a different BBK, though.

And oddly enough Wilwood sells a lot of product in the UK as it's seen by some there as the more magic parts. Guess it always comes down to what you can't have as easily- must be better.
