Factory wheel hubs come with factory hubs pre-installed...

Fronts come as an assembly with bearings...

rear are separate...

Where can I get the best price on a front hub assembly...I wheel is shaking as well and I took it to Firestone and they qume $386 for the part and at least $150 for labor...can I get it cheaper somewhere else, cause they told me as long as the part was new, they'd change it for me. Please help...I feel like the wheel's gonna fall off at somepoint and it's my daily driver...

PM West Covina Nissan (a sponsor here). I regularly get amazed by their prices on OEM parts.

Important to keep hub clean, shiny and in spec for runout otherwise it affects the rotor [thermal conductivity] and may induce [add to] warping.
The hub just like wheels is a part of the thermal sink for brakes.

Track use with sticky tire is one of them. You get a lot of hub flex and bearings get extra stress.

Is it necessary to change the hub along with the bearing or can you just replace the bearing only?

My bearing went bad this weekend. Never noticed it before, but my caliper began to rub on the rotor pretty bad. Scary ****, and what sucks is that my extended warranty ended 2 months ago.

In any case, at 67k miles, i didnt expect something like this to go bad soo soon. Specially under moderate driving.

I haven't had the prob at 65,000 but I have done many hub change outs on other vehicle and 90% of the time I can press the brg and get a replacement at the Brg house

Machines are built around existing products---easy cross

i would go as far as to say that it should also be replaced. there are stresses put on the hub as well when cornering, not just the bearing. i think it would also be a good idea to replace the studs as well, basically giving you a whole brand new unit.

How can you know if a bearing is bad w/o removing it? I hit a curb and knocked out the alignment a few weeks back. Got the car realigned and now I hear a noise coming from the pass side rear. Almost sounds like a tire rubbing, but it's very faint. Most people can't hear it, but I can.
