What to get, what to get? I read all reviews and i can't get a good decision.
They will only be for spirited street driving, and the occasional high speed motorway run (maybe more than occassional).
I'll be running the stock brembo setup with SS lines and Motul RBF600 fluid.
I honestly couldn't give a crap about brake dust as long as they stop me. Ideally something not too expensive.
Stop tech supplies the axxis pads which i've heard have great initial bite and are pretty good for fade resistance, and are cheap. They just cough out loads of dust (which i don't care about) and can be quite noisy. Has anyone got any experience with these.
Hawk HPS is totally out so don't bother recomending these.
Nismo seems to be quite nice, but maybe a tad too expensive. (remember i also have to pay for shipping to Europe)
Help would be great guys. Thanks.

I was happy with the Axxis Ultimates on both the non-Brembo OEM brakes and my Stoptech BBK. It really sounds like an ideal pad for your needs and the price is hard to beat. I haven't noticed any noise issues but they do put off a lot of dust. I had a pair of HP+ in my G35 with OEM Brembo and they worked great but they are extremely noisy and harder on the rotors than I would like from a street pad. I haven't heard anything bad about the Nismo pads but I never tried them because of the price.

Axxis Ultimates are great and should not be noisy unless overheated. I have them on my car on front 13" stoptechs and had no noise at all for 6 months of street driving. Took them out to the track in the middle of june and faded them pretty badly at the end of the day. Now they squeek a little but nothing too bad. Can only hear it with the windows down. There's a reason why Stoptech only recommends these pads on the track for first timers. These pads also are very very dusty but you say you don't give a crap so no worries there. Plus they are relatively cheap. A winner in my book.
I just switched from the Hawk HPS pads to the EBC Red Stuff pads and they are like day and night. The EBC's grab beautifully. The initial cold bite is very strong, unlike the Hawks (IMO). Fade resistance has been excellent so far, but I have really had much of a chance to pound on them for an extended amount of time.
The Porterfield R4 may be for you. Note: not the R4S.
They dust, but you (and I) don't care. They're pretty noisy for the first couple of months, but then quiet down nicely. I'm talkin' head-turning bus-like loud to start, but it goes away. They work great cold and even better hot. They seem pretty easy on the rotor. I figure if the rotor lasts the same as the pad, I'm good to go. New pads, new rotors.
They're not cheap, but you get what you pay for. I have a vague memory of $120 or so for one end. That depends on your definition of cheap. They're easily worth it in my book.

I have the oem brembos. I have been through the following in order:
Hawk HPS - low dust, horrible bite, didn't make any sounds though, i hated them
Axxis Ultimates - dusted a bit, good initial bite, very nice on the streets, no fades, i like it
current set up:
Endless vita neova -low dust, good initial bite, takes a bit to heat up before working well but when it does, these pads are the best i've tried so far. Very nice and quiet.
