Default Tein or HKS coilovers

I'm deciding between the Tein Flex or HKS hypermax coilovers, both of which I can get for unbelievable low prices. Based on personal preference, I think I might go with the Tein because of the the EDFC and I can get it for $1710 shipped (maybe even lower if more people are interested). Would anyone else be interested, I just think I should pass the deal on (if u guys think that's a deal).

Just out of curiosity, where are you getting that price? Last time I checked Tein doesn't allow group buys, and that price is WAY below their 5% maximum discount.

GTJester, to answer your question, I'm not really considering this a group buy, it's simply me purchasing the product at a low price from a vendor (which is also a friend), and passing the savings on to you guys. BTW, I didn't mean to confuse anybody, but the $1710 price I quoted does not include the EDFC unit. However, I doubt that you could find a price lower than that anywhere on just the coilovers itself. The total package with the Flex and EDFC would be $2,050 shipped to the 48 states. Shipping to Canada would be more.

Toykilla, if u r really interested on the HKS Hypermax, PM me for more price info.....i don't think alot of people appreciate me posting prices on the board. What are the going prices right now on those? I'm pretty sure I can beat it. Due to the prices of these products, the place where I pick them up only stock up on 1 or 2 sets at a time, so it's actually better for u guys, because u don't have to wait for a group buy. If u want something, I tell u if I can get it within a few days at a specific price including shipping, and u can decide if u want it or not. I'm not a vendor, just a fellow member trying to pass on the savings.

I got them from my friend who owns a shop called pressure racing, it was local pickup so there wasnt any shipping costs. I'm not sure if he wll give this price to eeryone, but I can ask him...you mihgt wanna give crase z a PM, he said he knew a shop who could get them for 1580.

Thanks for the info Matix. That price of urs looks like a "friend hookup" price to me at first too. However, if u take the price i quoted and take out shipping cost and also paypal fees (i'm pretty sure u paid by CC or cash where the seller won't suffer from a fee), u would basically be paying the same $1580 amount plus/minus $10 or so. If people live close enough, I might be able to do $1580 by pickup too. It's good to see that people are getting hookups left and right.......hehe.

Um... aren't there two different sets of Teins that fit this car? One is more adjustable than the other. Sounds like you guys might have bought different sets.

Yeah, but the EDFC is what makes the Tein's so sweet.

I got my Teins for $1540 out the door and the EDFC for $330 out the door. Any tein dealer can probably get you that price if they like you. And I know for a fact that you can get em cheaper than that cause this was a fourth party buy and the two middle men made a profit.

Yes, those are the prices I'm quoting people, maybe even a few bucks lower. If only everyone can walk into a shop and get everything at dealers cost. However, I don't think that's possible.

Do you guys think the Tein Flex makes the car handle better?

Would you get roll bars with it? I understand that the Teins were designed to work without them?

Are the Teins durable?

And what's this stuff about the Tein's developing tiny air bubbles due to it's design compared to the JIC's? Will bubble's also build-up in the S-tune kit?

Thanks.
