Default We need a giant sticky for...

A suspension/wheel/tire manifesto so we can easily address issues such as

"will my car rub"

"do I need a camber kit"

"how low can I go"

and other similar, general questions. I'd bet that a few of us here with experience in a variety of mild to extreme fitments, and stock to all out suspension, could team together to draft a nice, comprehensive, easy to understand sticky to address these issues to save people from having to post the questions over and over again. Or, if the question does come up, we can just link back to the Suspension Manifesto. It would have to be easily identified with some sort of bold title face, or graphic or something so that it can't easily be missed. Something that stands out more than the current FAQ's

Mods? Thoughts?

sounds good - I'll send a pm to g35sedan, spl and a couple others here I know who can contribute some good info, and I think between us, we can give everyone one concise place to refer to for such issues

Great idea. Hopefully I can learn from it cause my knowledge on offsets, camber, etc... is horrible.

You could put together a list of:

Will work
Will work but will be very close
And forget about it wheel-tire combinations

…but members will still post “Will this fit?” questions. Interesting that a member might spend $3,500 on wheels and tires just because another member says that it is OK.

Note: 90 percent of members that ask about extreme set-ups like front 10 inch wheels and rear 11 inch wheels never end up with jack.

That's why part of what I want to cover with this at some point is the net affect the more extreme fitments have on the rest of the balance of the car as well. List the positives and negatives for people to weigh for themselves. While it will never prevent someone from making a post, better to have one centralized sticky, written by intelligent people who understand the topic, that people can always refer to. Sort of like a 350Z suspension and wheel White Paper
