Default Alignment after Tanabe GF 210 installed

I just installed Tanabe gf 210 on my car and today I had an alignment done.

Specs
- FRONT -
Caster
(L/R) 7.4 to 8.9

Camber
(L/R) -1.3 to 0.2

Toe
(L/R) 0.00 to 0.05

- REAR -
Camber
(L/R) -2.1 to -1.1

Toe
(L/R) 0.00 to 0.05

- FRONT -
Caster
Before (L) 8.6 (R) 8.9 After (L) 8.6 (R) 8.8

Camber
Before(L) -2.1 (R) -1.2 After (L) -1.0 (R) -1.2

Toe
Before (L) .05 (R) 0.00 After (L) .00 (R) 0.00

- REAR -
Camber
Before(L) -2.3 (R) -2.4 After (L) -2.0 (R) -2.1

Toe
Before (L) 0.05 (R) 0.10 After (L) 0.00 (R) 0.05

I thouht I was going to need to get an adjustable A arm and Camber/toe kit. That just saved me about $500 dollars and I was this close in ordering one last week. But as soon as I get my wheels I'm going to have it aligned again.

Can you look at your front camber numbers on the printouts, what you show doesn't add up.

Letting the shop set the rear toe to zero to suppress the camber numbers is not a tradeoff you should go for. But I get it that in your mind you might feel it's the lessor to two evils. I'll argue back that it's not a good idea because of how the suspension is designed and because of bushing deflection underload.

I hate to burst your bubble, but your shop has no idea what the OEM Alignment specs are for a 350Z. You rear toe should NOT be 0.0, and your front Camber and Caster is NOT adjustable. If you keep riding on -2 degrees of camber in the rear with 0.0 toe you tires will wear out quick.

I have tanabe gf210s and this is what my alignment looked like before it was properly adjusted.

Front.

Rear.

After. Front stock OEM specs (toe was eventually the same for both:0.04)

Rear Stock OEM Alignment w/ camber/toe kit.

The bottom photo ARE @ stock specs. In the front .04 toe. In the back 0.08 toe and -1.6 degrees of camber.

That alignment sheet looks highly suspect. Did you actually see them perform the alignment? It looks like the may have fudged the numbers and charged you for something they didn't perform.

For example: if your left and right rear toe was 0.05 and 0.10. Why did they adjust one from 0.05 to 0.00. They basically went from one end of the spectrum to the other. For a near perfect toe shouldn't it have been 0.025 for each?

BTW I've never heard or read that having 0.00 is an acceptable setting for toe.

LOL no I was there standing right outside. He even made me go under the car cuz I wanted him to show me what we was doing. I had it done at tire king and I purchased 3 years unlimited alignment. I can go back everyday if want to. But you can admit I am within specs right?

Barely ... having -2.1 degrees of rear camber (unless you autocross your Z) is IMO not acceptable. Also running 0.00 toe doesn't seem correct. Others can chime in for that.

You might have to bite the bullet and get a rear camber/toe kit installed.

As soon as I get my wheels put on I'll have it aligned again then I will decide whether I should get a chamber/toe kit. But for now I dont see the need for it as long as im within specs.

How adjustable are the fronts? I know the rears are about .5 degree.

A 350Z's stock front end camber and caster can NOT be adjusted. You'll need aftermarfet front camber arms installed.

As for what OEM specs should be, no offense to the OP but I'll trust PTuning's (A shop that strictly deals with performance vehicles) specs over Tire King's.

If you look at my alignment specs. Front toe should be between 0.00 and 0.08. Rear toe should be between 0.04 and 0.12, and rear camber should be between -1.1 and -2.1.
