Koni install on a G sedan. Strut stud supposed to stick out this much?

Default Koni install on a G sedan. Strut stud supposed to stick out this much?

This is using what I think are Z strut tops on the Konis. I even took apart one of my G struts to compare the strut tops. Looks diff yes. But dimensionally, they look to be identicle. Especially the part that the bolt/shaft goes though. Pic. Left bare Koni, Middle is assembled, Right is stock G assembly.

Yes it is normal. It's a pain to have to spin past all those threads, but when you run a setup that has high preload levels, you'll appreciate they are their.
