Cost of installation of brakes
I was recently quoted by a local company the following to install rotora rotors, hawk hks pads, stillen steel lines, and flush and refill the system on all 4:
4.5hrs@85/hr=382.50
Makes me wanna do it myself..or just get a BBK... what do u guys think?

You could do it yourself if you have tools. The only tricky part would be getting somebody to turn the rotors and doing the lines yourself if you've never done it before. There's a couple of decent DIY around here.

Absurd, $382.50 is probably as much as the cost of the mentioned parts. You can do it yourself if you are even slightly mechanically inclined. As mentioned the only annoying part of the job is bleeding. Buy a motive or similar pressure bleeder for ~$40 on ebay and you've just made your life so much easier, and now you have the use of the bleeder forever.

I can send you our installation guide with pictures that'll make things a lot easier. It also has bleeding and bedding information.
Granted it's not Rotora, but it's basically the same.
PM your email and I'll send today.

Actuallys its almost 700 or so in parts. rotors are like 130/pc and hawk pads are pretty costly. Makes me wonder If i should just get a 6pot front and some beefier rear for just a bit more..

How do you figure? The cost seems to be the same every site i visit...about 120+ for the direct replacement rotors..
