Default Lowering my 06 z please help

ok guys i just bought my 06 white 350 and I am going to be getting new wheels im looking at some volks and some works just not sure which ones exactly yet. I do know that i am going to be gettin stock size wheels meaning they will be 18's just like my factory wheels and will be the same offset and width as the factory wheels as well.

now my question is i want to lower my z and i dont want to have to worry about scrubbing tires or anything like that i would like to stay away from bad camber but if a camber kit is necessary then so be it. so what do yall suggest springs or coilovers and what brand do yall suggest again im just looking to set it right on the tires no scrubbing no rolling fenders i dont want to go wide body or anything so lets hear the suggestions THANKS SO MUCH!!!!!!!!

Then what's the point in spending the money for aftermarket wheels?

Looks at the tires and see what is in the way of lowering the car. Inside of the fender wells? Strut housing? There you go.

My Hotchkis drop appears to be more aggressive than most poeple's, I had quite a bit, not sure the exact measurement but I can get 1 finger between my tire and rear fender.

No camber problems yet, slight wear on the rear but I haven't had an alignment yet.

The sways and tires made the biggest difference, and I am using OEM wheels.

slam that junk on Eibach Sportline springs
(and yes, I know I need spacers in the back. But instead of spacers I'm getting wheels soon)

How about coilovers? I love my Tein mono flex coils.

I think I'll be going with Tein Flex with 25mm spacers in the rear and 20mm in the front. Leaving my stock wheels. What you guys think?

i have an 06 as well. i got aftermarket wheels that stayed at 18" diameter but widened at 8.5 up front with +1 tires. and 9.5 in the rear with +1 tires. i havent installed the gear yet, cars still in storage up here in the northeast. but i purchased the tokico d specs and eibach pro kit springs. i checked around with some ppl in my area and they from their experiences said it should sit pretty mean after its all done. and looking at some pictures from members as well that had the same setups. that set up was pretty much exactly what i was looking for.

Are you using sportlines on stock shocks?

yes the prokit is a 1 inch drop all the way around. i didnt want to go crazy with a drop job but i wanted it to be noticeable at the same time. so i figured a 1 inch lowering would be perfect for me. it would be silly for me to go any lower due to the roads up here in the northeast. id do more damage than anything then.

hey there... i have a question for anybody who might be able to help...

i'm going with aftermarket wheels and a set of coils... and at the moment i'm not planning on a mad drop with the coils... question is... would i still need aftermarket camber arms if i were running coils but without a massive drop?

thinking about dropping it to 1-1.5 inches max... and at the same time hoping to not get a crazy -ve camber especially in the rears... would like to go as close to the stock specs as possible (camber, caster, toe)... if that makes sense...

i might not have done enough research yet... so please bear with me if it's a dumb question...

and sorry to thread-jack!

thanks in advance

I've lowered my car at least 3 inches with no aftermarket camber kits, 2.4 degree in the front and 3.4 in the rear but the toes are in spec.
So you don't really "need" camber kits but it is better to have them in the long run and save yourself some tires.

i went with eibach springs that gave 3/4" drop. after springs settled was close to 1" drop. volk 19' +17 front +18 rear. the front didnt rub, but the rear did so i had to roll. didnt need camber kit.
