Default Opinions on lowering for MY 08 Z

Hi, I have an 08 touring coupe Z, and I am looking forward to dropping it a little, NOT slammed

First thing is first, I don't know if anything changed from 07 to 08 in suspension.

So, after searching and reading many posts, I have decided to put up my own Q for an 08 and seek an advise.

1. I would like to avoid a use of camber kit, so, it seems like my best bet on springs are hotchkis or s-tech.

2. for shocks, I would like to keep it stock, but if I were to change it, I would prob go d-spec. (or even HP blue depending on some advises in advance )

My thoughts.

1. hotchkis spring + d-spec/HP
2. s-tech + d-spec/HP
3. hotchkis spring on OEM shocks
4. s-techs on OEM shocks.

At the moment, my Z would be my daily driver, and I do not plan to participate much in autoX/track events (at least for now )

thanks,

Jason

Lmao....

Every car is aligned different. Your best bet is to install it and see what camber you end up with in the back, if your close to -2 you should be ok. Some people need a camber kit and some dont. By the time i realized i needed a camber kit for my IS250 it was too late all my tires were eaten up in the inside in about 5000 miles. I had the eibach pro on it.

How are new Cobbs spring?
they sound quite suited for 07 with stock shocks with a nice drop,
AND prob not need a rear camber

can anyone verify this?

Mine is down about .8" from stock, looks awesome, hotchkis sways but KW Variant2 coilovers did the trick. Great cornering, rides like a sportscar should. By the way, outside of the new red, there is absolutely no difference in the 07-08.

i ended up with cobb springs.
for me, it is a perfect drop and
also a great enhanced feel since i am not into too much competitive tracking at the moment.

i would infact get sway bars as my next mod when i get some $$

This coming Saturday I am installing S-Tech + Tokico HP (blue). I will let you know how it turns out! I have SPC camber/toe kit, but we will see if I can get in spec without it first (likely, S tech is only .6/.7").
