if i get an alignment done and wait a couple of days to install rear brake pads, will it mess up my alignment?

 

If you screw up your alignment doing pads, you really shouldnt be touching a wrench to a car.

Your bakes have nothing to do with your alignment. All you're doing is taking you wheel off, pulling the pads out and replacing them, then putting the wheel back on.

 

i don't work on cars hence it might seem dumb to ask my question but there is never a stupid question. its a way how to learn to do things. all in all, thanks for keeping it real.

 

Sorry if I came off poorly. I was just listing the basic steps necessary to replace your pads and how they dont affect your alignment. I agree, you have to start somewhere, and you get that knowledge by asking.

But first u have to remove the flux capacitor to access the hyper drive thus removing the velocity stack! Eer yea sounds easy! Lol u should have no problem doin this. After a few times it will be a piece of cake. Good luck,,,

 

Even worse an Alignment is actually a static MISALIGNMENT designed to compensate for the pressure and bending that results from the car moving down the road at 60 mph [STRAIGHT].

The designers actually measure what happens at 60 mph and create a set of MISALIGNMENT NUMBERS that correct things as much as possible to minimize fuel consumption [camber and toe].

Unfortunately as the suspension ages and the rubber gets deformed new factory MISALIGNMENT specs may no loger be ideal.
