Default 6 piston vs. 4 piston Stoptech

What is the advantage of the 6 piston 355mm stoptech front kit over the 4 piston 355 front kit?

looks 6>4
Weight 6<4
Better/slower pad wear 6>4
Better brake balance/bias 6>4

Just stating the obvious

Years ago, StopTech proclaimed anything more than 4 piston was unneeded, and that everyone putting out 6 piston designs were doing so for purely marketing reasons.
Later, (not sure how many months/years) they began producing a 6 piston caliper and stated that the only advantage was increased brake pad longevity.

Better brake bias? All the Stoptech calipers have the same bias from front to rear.

So I guess the larger pad wears longer. Hmmmm... not much of an advantage given the added cost of the 6 piston. Thanks!

having had both the 4 piston and now the 6 piston in the front,

both perform nearly identical.. the 4 piston caliper has a slight advantage of having more pad selection, but the 6 is supposed to wear better-

the 6 piston is slightly narrower in width, a little better for wheel spoke clearance, but looks pretty damn good when compared to the 4.

Exactly how is the 6>4 in the brake bias category?

+1, the ST40 caliper has the same torque output of a ST60 caliper.
