Default Brake Shudder

I have an 08 GT with the OEM Brembos. Sometimes under light braking (< 3 MPH) I think something is resonating and there is a loud shuddering noise. Other than that the brakes are fine. My car has only 1400 miles on it. Any opinions? A warped rotor maybe? It's happened while slowly braking in a straight line and while slowly braking in a hard turn. Road conditions were dry.

I'm going to talk to the dealer about it, but my experience with service departments is if they can't consistently reproduce the issue then they say bugger off. Maybe it's the VDC coming on? I didn't see any lights on the dash though.

It's brakes mother****ers. Damn that makes me mad.

EDIT: Brake. Brake. Brake shudder. You don't spell it breaking, how is it possible that you've gone your whole life without putting this whole puzzle together?

Who cares what's wrong with your car, it has 1400 miles on it, get Nissan to fix it.

I used the correct wording three times in the body of the post. I don't think I've gone my whole life without an understanding of homophones.

What I never will understand though is Internet rage.

I have an 07 Grand Touring. Breaks (jk) are my biggest annoyance. They squeak ALL the time under light braking and I took it to 2 different dealerships: both said its supposed to do that because they're metallic pads. as far as any other problems, i have noticed a slight shudder twice, but it went away. Maybe its because they're new? Bottom line, don't worry about it. Enjoy your new car and the imminent squeaking that will accompany it!

What the fkuck is your problem, idiot. He just asked a simple question. Get the BBD out of your *** and stop getting all butt hurt.

As for the OP, I believe a warped rotor is your problem.

It certainly sounds like a warped rotor.

Thanks all for the replies. I'll ask the dealer about it and post what happens.

Now that the interwebs rage monster has been appeased with a sacrifice of flames, he can rest, until next time...

With only 1,400 miles I do not suspect generic wear of either the pads or rotors. Take a ride with the service manager. He drives - you are in the passenger seat.
