Hello guys,

I need advice from the community.

I own a 2004 Touring which is equipped from the factory with non-brembo brakes.

Last year I swapped my fronts for the Brembo Gran Tourismo BBK.

Now, it is time to upgrade the rears.

Since Brembo doesn’t offer Gran Tourismo series for the rears I have couple of ideas:
a) get Brembo calipers from the Track version and just get a cross-drilled rotors to match the fronts. However, I’m not sure if I should get the original rotors from Brembo or some cheaper replacements. If you think replacement if the better way to go, can you recommend a specific brand?
b) I can get the rear BBK kit from AP racing or StopTech but I’m concerned about compatibility Two different brands of such a important component of a car?

What you guys think? I’m strongly towards A version but want to hear some opinions….

 

How about getting rear calipers and rotors intended for the performance versioin of the 2008 G37 coupe. They are much larger than the OEM Brembos and supposedly bolt on to the 350z rear hubs. The write up indicates that even the parking brake works as intended. I understand they are manufactured by Akebono and the calipers are imprinted with the word "Nissan".
