Default Bedding In Axxis Pads and Power Slot Rotors

Hey Guys,

I just installed the stoptech stage two upgrade on my track 350z over the weekend (axxis ultimate pads, powerslot rotors, stoptech SS lines, motul 600 fluid). I drove around easy for the recommended 20-30 miles to wear the cadmium plating off the rotors and then bedded the pads in.

I did 8 stops from 60 to 10 and then let the brakes cool for 10 mintues while driving around and did it all over again. It worked well and the pads bite nice now....not quite the performance I was hoping for but they will do for now.

Anyway my problem is this. I have chunks of metal all over my wheels concentric to the rotos and on the edges of my calipers. It looks like solder splatter everywhere

Im wondering if this cadmium plating melted was thrown out of the cooling veins. Its looks horrible and is stuck to my wheels, calipers, and the edges of my rotors and is going to take some scrubbing/scraping to get loose

Anyway just wondering if any others had had this issue, it kinda ticks me off because i don't want to have to scrap this stuff off every time I drive my car hard.

Anyway thanks for any help.

I can take some pictures tommarrow if need be.

-Austin

Yes I had the same problem using Hawk HP+ while bedding the pads in...not only that but those shavings that look like solder splatter got all over the inside of my wheels too...and was a pain to get clean again...It eventually goes away though...
