Brake light came on for some reason, any ideas?

Default Brake light came on for some reason, any ideas?
I was driving home yesterday and the dash lit up BRAKE in red letters for no reason, so I stopped and pulled the emergency brake and released it and it went away, well 2 minutes later it came back on.. and so far today it has not come on.. any ideas?

Check your brake fluid.

Bring it to the dealer and have them check your brake fluid. While your there they can replace your pads since there probably worn out.
