Default Good Shocks/Springs for daily driver?

Trying to upgrade my Z a little bit. This is my daily driver, no track use and no excessive speeding/cornering. Considering lowering on my stock 17"s 1 inch, good springs for my application? I have 48,000 and my car is an 03 that's been driven on rough roads. Good shocks to look into? If you can send me links along with the names that would be helpful cause I don't know a lot about cars and parts. Thanks fellas.

Tein S tech springs and Tokico D-Specs

One of the best mods I have ever done. If you are not going to put on aftermarket wheels, I would consider going with the mildest drop possible and D-specs

Thanks Slow Jim... Searching does me no good when I do not know what to search for. I ask specific questions and want specific answers.

Ahsmo - Thank you. Never heard of either. I'll start researching them.

you can also check 350z - t e c h .com for other springs and shocks and their specs, so you can figure if you want an agressive setup (racing) or a comfortable one (close to OEM specs)...

I'm in the same situation, i'm looking for a setup that's leaned into being daily driven than tracking, which I'm not really into, so I'd look closer to OEM specs... I purchased a Nismo V.2 front bumper w/ a CF lip, JDM sides with CF lips, and a Evo-R blitz wing for my ride, and i'm sticking with my OEM 18" track Rays so I can't really lower it too much without compromising camber and comfort... From what I've search, the tein H-tech are probably the way I'm going (.6" front & .08" rear) on top of my '07 shocks (upgraded from 03 shocks which I've heard are made by Tokico)... because if you pass .08" on drop, I've read you must put a camber kit on it, which can vary from $200 to $500 on top of your suspension upgrade. And that's a cost i don't think i can not afford right now... But alot of people will say, if you lower it... you gotta do it right the first time... so it's all on what you want.

Hope this helps.

I am considering doing the same thing on my stock 17"s. If the car gets lowered an inch do you have to get anything else to adjust the camber. I've heard if its around an inch in drop then its a must?

Koni yellow sport single adjustable and Hotchkis sport coil springs. This was a great combo for me.

Hotchkis TVS Stage 1 (springs and adjustable sway bars) == $500
Shocks == Should be fine, since the drop is mild.
Extra $500 should be spent on extra suspension needs (front A-arms, rear camber, tire rods, ect)

Are the front A-arms and rear camber necessary if your going for only a 3/4 to inch drop?

rears are almost always needed, with that drop, no on the fronts.

^with this, do you need to change out your shocks? i have an 03 that just bounces up and down on some roads around chicago and it drives me nuts! i was looking at going with the TVS stage 1 first, then go with a shock upgrade later....this sound like a good idea with what i am wanting to get rid of?
