Default 1000$ for suspension

i have 1000 saved up to spend one the z. I have it narrowed it to suspension. i am leaning twoards getting it dropped because right now my only mod is wheels and i feel it needs to be lowerd. Also in the future i plan to give the car some power i would like it to handle just as well as it preforms. right now i am thinking about the tein basic suspension with a rear camber kit which will put me right at 1000. Will i need to shell out the extra 400-600 for the front arms or will i be able to get by with only the rear? i would just do springs for now but i dont want to have to replace the struts in 6 months. what do you guys think? Any other ideas for a setup priced under 1000?

thanks keith

I think you should get a set of slightly used coilovers, but don't get Tein Basics.

You can get Stance Coilovers for about $1250. They are sweet! I'll get some pics of my ZR dropped 1" later on this week.

I did Eibach Sportlines, Tokico dampers, SPC front & rear camber arms +toe. With alignment it came in a hair under $1000.

If you go with a different spring that isn't as low as the Sportlines, many say that you can get it aligned in spec without front camber arms; I find that hard to believe since my STOCK suspension was cambered out, but whatever. If that is true, then you could do a spring like the GF210s, Tokico struts, rear camber/toe--and instead of the front camber arms, do a sway bar instead.

How low do you want to go, this is an important question.

+1

I've heard good things about the BC's. Plus they aren't too expensive.

I did mine without the front arms, lowered about 1.5 in the front. Still haven't noticed any different tire wear in the front and my alignment was barely out of spec. Each car is different though, its really up to you since there is no adjustment from stock.

every car is different, but you should be okay without the front a-arms.

+1 but with how low you want to go , you will need rear arms and toe bolts.
