Unhappy Think i broke my VDC

Short story is i was drifting around for a while and spun out about 2 or 3 times. Now When i gas the car a little heavy and start hitting 4,000 RPM the first thing i see is the red Break light as if the abs is kicking in or i have the e break up. After the break light comes on a few seconds later my VDC OFF light comes and SLIP light come on and stay. Even when i turn the car off sometimes both lights stay on.

Does anyone think i messed up the sensors or can i reprogram it? Any feed back would help. Thanks in advance!

I don't even have VDC, but when I get into boost and I'm accelerating hard, my e-brake light will come on momentarily as well.

Disconnect the battery over night and see if that helps.

Quick question...While you were drifting, did you have your VDC disabled...?

When both come on, do you still have ABS function and do the brakes feel "normal"? If not, then the likely answer is something else is turning off the VDC/TCS function - and it's a long list of candidates:
- ABS not working
- Wheel speed differences more than 5% F/R at same mph will kick it off into malfunction mode, I can see how a lot of drifting could do that unless you turned it off.
- Virtually anything not working in the braking system, including the brake lights (no sheet, really).

I had an intermittent short in the bundle of wiring to the rear top mount brake light, when it shorted out the fuse blew, and all the VDC/TCS, etc. lights came on just because the brake lights were not working. The short was in the passenger side under the kick panel.

HTH & good luck! Oh, style points, too.

No. Wheel speed sensors are just one part, there's a slew of inputs into the VDC/TCS Controller, many are engine-related.

Don't recall if there is a complete "reset" procedure for VDC, have to go look in the FSM for that. I don't have one for '07 Z33, and it may have changed since 04-05.
