brake swap
I''m trying to swap Z06 6/4 piston calipers to my Z.
I have to make F/R brackets to install.
I need a deatil information about difference between 350Z(08' non-brembo)'s and Z06's OEM brake kit. for example, rotor size, rotor hat(?) depth......
help~~~~~~~~~~

well, first off the Z06 brakes are made by GM, and obviously the 350Z brakes are made by Nissan. that alone is a big problem since it is near impossible to fabricate and make brakes that are made for one car work on another, totally different car. you should have upgraded to a BBK built for the 350Z.
messing with your brakes when you got no clue what you are doing can lead to deadly consequences. i hope you sell those and get yourself a kit that actually fits.

I know what you r saying, so i'm searching for the information of Z06's brake system. I think the working mechanism of Z06's caliper is not different from BBK like wilwood, stoptech and so on.
Thanks for your advice, and I'm waiting more reply. ^^

you can search all you want, but the bottom line is it will not work and can lead to serious problems if attempted. sell those and use the money to get a real BBK made for the Z.

To the op , Z06 rotors are 14 inch front and 13 inch rear . You can get more into about the rotors over on www.racingbrake.com

still will not make a caliper that is designed for another car work properly and safely on a totally different car. but why should i care, obviously the OP knows exactly what he is doing with manufacturing brackets and that. if he can do that, i am sure he can figure out the rest.
be sure to post the results of this swap, that is if you can.

I think it possible with enough $$. But in order to pull this you have to know the dynamics of the brake system, the hydrolics, etc. And who knows how would it affect the electronics. like ABS. I don't even know what else could go wrong, as I am not a brake expert. But if you have to ask brake specs on the forum, it means that neither are you. IMO, this is way too crucial of a part to experiment with. Can turn a little deadly.
Honestly, if I were you, I'd sell those to someone with a C6, or a GTO, and look into the G37 f/r setup...

Read some of the stuff tce posted, you may learn something.

I give up. OP, let us know how it went...
