Default Question about R1 Concepts Brakes

Hey everyone. I used the search function, and read up on the long R1 brakes thread. Seems like most people like the cross-drilled/slotted rotors. Now, i need to get new rotors and pads, and i'll be ordering this combination from R1 Concepts.

My question is, do i have to get new brake lines as well? If so, am i correct in assuming that i also have to put in new brake fluid? Thanks in advance

How many miles on your car? i recently changed out my brakes to r1 concepts drilled rotors, new pads, and ate blue brake fluid. I had around 60K on my stock brakes and i felt a huge difference after, i didn't change my lines. You don't have to change them, but you might feel a difference in the pedal feel and on the track.

New brake lines are not needed when installing new rotors.

my car has 41000 miles right now. i've been told that since the standard brakes are a bit small, i need the new stainless brake lines due to heat.

I have the R1 concept cross-drilled/slotted rotors and love them. i have them matted up with hawk pads and instantly noticed a good bite....

i think if you just swap the pads/rotors and add new fluid you should be good to go....

if u autoX and track the car and have the extra cash to drop on steel braided lines then that part is up to you....

There no need for SS line, but if you I would upgrade anyway.
