So, in other words, you got the BC setup and aren't happy - and had to buy something more in the end???

My shocks seem to bottom out and only have around 4 inches of travel. Anyone else have a problem with this?

The shorter stroke of coilover dampers will cause less travel than stock, and the bottem out parts, the shock height out of adjustment and or the damper is to soft.

jaminkid: how much more do you have on the rears to lower? Not that I think you need anymore (IMO that's plenty low enough) but I'm just curious b/c alot of people are saying they're maxing out the rears and are only achieving +/- 1.5" in the rear. Just curious b/c I'm buying these today or tomorrow.

Also, what did alot of you guys do about camber? Front and rears? I'm probably going to buy the SPC front and rears b/c I really want to get it back into factory specs. Although, I've seen alot of guy running only rear kits?!

Umm. I think? I'm maxed out on the spings. But I'm not sure. I'm working on brakes so I can snap a few pics later. I'm running 18x10 with (half inch??) spacer and wheels fit pretty snugged without rubbing...(not saying I have fat fingers but I cant fit a finger between the tire and fender) 18x11 will be on next week. Might have to raise a lil or roll the fenders. Fronts have a lot more to go lower but if I do, it'll be pretty much sitting on the tire. I will take a couple pics and show you how mine is set up in the rear. I have the SPC camber kit with toe bolt. And that pretty much bought me back to specs. If you don't have any aggressiv wheels you should be fin. e

Cool man, thanks for the info

I'm running 20mm spacers in the front and 25mm in the rear on factory (06+) wheels. I'm pretty sure with the car dropped similar to your's I should be good.

Do you have a front camber kit (A-Arm)? Or did you get it back to factory specs without one?

Thanks man!

And after getting the vortech, I wanted to drive faster so I raised the car up .5 inches

And this was my boy Soleil's car dropped on the shorter rear springs. Not even dumpt to the fullest yet.

Hope this helps.

I have the SPC rears and toe bolt but havent installed it yet.
The white one has the SPC rear camber kit installed and it got it back into the specs he wanted.

I'm up in the air about these again

I've been debating between these and Stance GR+ OEM. The thing that I really don't understand is how one person has a different max drop for the rears (without buying the shorter springs).

I don't think I want to go too low, but I've been told by multiple Vendors that these will drop the rear on the ground if need be. I know BC did some sort of revision in early 2008 but I don't know if it affects max rear drop?!

For the record, I'm running factory 06+ wheels (most likely won't be changing them). I'm estimating that I'll want a little more of a drop than the GF210's. Maybe almost no gap in the front and approximately slightly less than 1 finger in the rear.

The price difference between Stance and the BC's (both with rear extenders) is $132. Thoughts? (whether you have BC's or not)

I guess it really depends on what you wanna do with your car.

Stance - These will def slam your car if you are going for that image. I've heard from my friends that these coilovers tend to have a knocking sound from the rear. And I've heard it from my boy's Z. He called stance and talked to them and they sent him something to fix it. Sound is no more.

-Spring Rate - 12kg(F)/5kg(R)
-15-way Adjustable Rebound
-Dual Ride Height Adjustment
-Adjustable 1-Piece Pillowball Upper Camber Plates
-Coil Wound Linear Springs for minimal sagging
-Oversized Shock Body with Annodized Aluminum Perches

BC Racing - I haven't had a problem with these coilovers yet. I am lowered to my desired height since I have a bodykit and I wanna make it over speedbumps. I don't autocross so I couldnt give you a track comparison

-10/8k spring rates
-46mm internals (53mm shocks!!!)
-1 year warranty
-30 way adjustable

I ended up ordering the BCs. I initially started off wanting springs, then moved to coilovers when I saw what the price of new shocks would run me down the line. Then I moved from BC's to Stance. Then I considered spending another $150+ for the next level of Stance.

Then I got pissed off at myself b/c I just kept adding more and more onto my total price... and for my needs and wants, it was overkill. I'm not looking to set the car on the ground nor will I be tracking this car often. If I do, it will see a track once or twice a year. So, I went back to BC's seeing as they have some great reviews, a good following (especially with the Subaru/Evo guys) and are slightly cheaper.

They're on the way to my house now. Probably won't have time to install until next week. I'll surely add my initial impression in this thread and the other BC review thread along with some pics

Thanks to everyone that posted up some pics (feel free to post more!) and to those who gave me their honest opinions.

You made a good choice bro! Enjoy when they get there! What size wheels will you actually be running? Those pics before were 18x9F and 18x10R now I'm on 18x9F and 18x11R same drop.

I'm on the factory 06+ wheels. I'm also running 20mm spacers front and 25mm rears. The way it sits now is verrrry flush... would have liked to go 30mm rears but then I would definitely have to roll my fenders (after lowering) and I was trying to avoid it.

You'll be happy with the coilovers.

Bump with a new picture
