Question Towing a bike?

Not sure if this is the right place to post this but i'm making a trip to TN next month (9 1/2 hour drive) and i'm wanting to bring my CBR 1000 with me. I know the Z has the power to pull the bike but my worries are the transmission and suspension. I'm lowered on eibach springs and the rest is stock.

No problem, between the bike and trailer it won't be much over 500 pounds. Just don't get crazy with the trailer.

Shouldn't be a problem.

My tire trailer is about 450 pounds and the Z hardly knows it's there, but your bike will sit higher and more in the airstream, so you'll have quite a bit more drag.

If you can, get the bumper support brackets gusset-welded -- over time, the existing welds (which are designed to handle compression) *will* break due to the tension because of the trailer hitch.

Shameless plug but what the heck . . . you will need this receiver hitch specifically made for the 350Z:

I towed a tire trailer that carried two sets of race tires (over 500 lbs total - trailer & load).

Altogether it would be less than 600 pounds. That's nothing to worry about.

I'll use my truck to haul my CBR1KRR, but if I had to use the Z I wouldn't worry about it.

Look at KENDON motorcycle carriers!! A single moto carrier is only 300 pounds!
