Default Is this normal?

I noticed a metal clip on my brake pad was sticking out and why do oem brake pads come with no shims?

That clip should be in the hole directly above it.

Oem pads do come with shims! At least mine did.

clip is normal, mine have shims also but you can't really notice them unless you take the pad off completely.

OEM Nissan pads are blue backed IIRC.

The thing you see should be in the hole area right above it. It won't affect anything (I don't think), but if you get a chance, put it in.

OEM pads are shimmed.
