Default Question about Brakes and Rotors

I love my car but I don't know to much about modifying it and I get worried going non OEM. I have a 07 Nismo and drive it relativly hard.

A few quick questions.

1 How long will the stock Brembo pads last?

2 How long will the stock Rotors last?

3 Are the stock rotors part of the brembo braking system or just the calapers?

4 Is it possible/ good or bad idea to keep the brembo calipers and pads and replace the stock rotors with some cross drilled ones.

5 If so do the cross drilled rotors really make a big difference in reducing heat (right now I think they just look a lot better)

6 How much is a well made rotor from a reputable break manufacturer going to cost me.

If you happen to know off the top of your head or had any experience with non OEM products I'd appriciate the advice/comments

Thanks

too many questions should have searched. but 1. depends how you drive and brake tires and conditions but ive seen anywhere between 1k and 30k average of 13 to 15k i would say if you drive hard. 2. fronts about 2 sets of pads if your realllly luckey rears 3 ish. 4. Yes you can but i would recomment slotted less chance of cracking. 5. No 6. depends on 2 piece or 1 but brembo rotors are around 150ish to `175 2 piece are around 800 front and about the same rea (stoptech aero rotors racing brakes also as some dba) I have stoptech aero rotors on my track 04 that i drive on track no problems hands down the best brake mode i made next to SS lines.

If you don't take your car to the track you don't have to worry about making any modifications. You will realize the benefit of none of them on the street.

My Brembo brakes pads lasted me 36,000 mi and still had 1/4 of the pad left before I switched to Stoptech brakes.

Drilled rotors are just for looks. They crack very easilly.

Take that Brembo crap off your car and junk em....well... I can send you my address for you to ship em. I guess I can pay you a little...so you don't feel so bad about having to get rid of them.

ok now for the slightly more honest answer

Your brakes for street use are more than adequate. They will (should) last at least 30k of normal street use.

avoid all the trash which is sold as "drilled/slotted"....stick with plain blanks...they work! the others have issues and won't gain you anything.
