From what I can tell Moton is the best you can buy. It isn't cheap however. Both 350Z's in GA Cup use Moton I believe. I might be wrong but the guy who started Moton came from Koni??? Right now I am waiting on Koni to release their Yellow Sport Shock for the Z. Should be around $600 for a set of 4.
Let me start off by saying that I have never driven a Z on Motons at all. That being said, from past experiences, Moton is simply the best out there for track work, but you are gonna sacrifice a hell of a lot in ride quality so for 99% of poeple, that is going to be too big a trade off.
The first thing I am gonna do is get rid of my Nismo sway bars. They are not still enough. I am gonna go with the Wright Tuning bars that are used on the 350Z race cars. From what I have now learned, it's roll control that is critical on our big heavy cars. If that doesn't give me what I am looking for, then I am gonna have to stiffen and lower the car even further. The Z picks up a ton of Neg camber up front when you lower it, so that is a good thing, then you just have to dial some out in the rear. I will have to decide to go Moton Club Sport (somewhat streetable) or just the real race package (unbearable on the street, but I hardly drive the Z on the street at this point).
I actually inquired about the Ohlins stuff and both teams that I talked to didn't seem to be impressed, so we will see. But my S-Tunes sways will be gone soon for sure.

Motons are the best shock outthere today for a sedan style car for track racing applications.
We did all the intitial testing with Moton and are the main distributor for the Moton 350Z application.
They are working on a club leel shock which will be a little less expensive.
Moton was started from a guy who worked with JRZ suspension.
Ohlins are great shocks shocks for open wheel cars and sports racers.
One click of adjustment on a moton canister is equal to about 4 clicks of adjustment on an Ohlin.
We run motons on the350Z and the Gt3RS.
