Resurfaced rotors today.
My front Track Model rotors were looking pretty worked after a year and nearly 2000 track miles. I was also switching from a Ferro Carbon, to a Ceramic pad, so I really had no choice but to resurface the rotors. I wonder how people use up the track model rotors so quickly?? After turning mine, they were brand new and can probably be turned one more time. I have always been fairly easy on brakes though, but I still manage to be one of the fast guys on track.
As usual, I took the rotors off myself and just took them to the brake shop to get them machined. It's a lot better to pay $10/rotor that way, then taking the car in and paying $50 (and I never trust anyone else to touch my brakes). One thing that trips me out every time. The service manual lists the torque spec for the Brembo caliper bolts at about 110ft/lbs. With a 24" breaker bar they were still a bear to get off. Also, does anyone know where to get a caliper rebuild kit? The dust seals are absolutely fried.
I haven't driven it yet, so boy they look pretty!! Gotta break in the Carbotech Panther XP pads tomorrow then to the track on Saturday. Full report to follow

Your lucky that you were able to resurface them. I changed my brake pads with Carbotech bobcats 2 weeks ago and my stock rotors were shot. I do have 28k miles and the stock pads were done but their was a good size groove along the outer edge. When this set of pads go, I'll have to get new rotors.
