Hawk or Greenstuff Brake Pads
Okay I have it narrowed my brake pads down to (2). Please vote using the poll. Please only vote if you know a lot about these brake pads, or have them on your Z. Thanks for your suggestions.
Also if their are other brake pads out there that are better than these two, let me know.
I do not race, or use the brakes hard. I am sick of the brake dust.
Thanks again,

Axis Premium
I have heard good results on Axis Premium front pads - Non Brembo www.cobaltfriction.com - There is a mini article on the pads in Sprt Z Mag - Summer 2003.
It stated a 15-20% better stopping power than OE and 50% better life - Very low brake dust, Very Quite, and rotor friendly. Made of a Kevlar ceramic composite, very low metal content.
I thing they are like $80.00 if you mention Sport Z mag you get a 10% discount.

It's important to tell folks WHICH of the Hawk pads you are considering. That's like doing a poll and asking if you should run Bridgestone tires. Are you talking about the Pole Position S03 or the Blizzak WS-50? Two very different tires from the same company!
The Hawk HPS is a much better pad than the EBC Greenstuff. It's a low dust, quiet pad which is relatively rotor freindly. The EBC Greenstuff is extremely prone to pad deposition issues. In other words, if you overheat it, it will "poop" on your rotors and you will suffer from vibration problems. I see more complaints about EBC Greenstuff than almost any other pad. (Pagid Orange is way up there too, but it's a club race pad, not a street pad.)
The Axxis Deluxe Plus is another excellent pad that retains stock levels of performance, yet is virtually dust free. The BMW M5 owners have been raving about it and they just sent it into a national backorder situation. See: http://www.m5board.com/vbulletin/sho...threadid=28899 You should consider this pad. Unfortunately, they don't yet make a rear pad (few manufacturers do) but the Cf level is close enough to stock that I would not be uncomfortable mixing the Deluxe Plus with the stock rear pads.

Hmmm, I guess when I said I don't race or do any hard braking, that kind of narrowed it down on the HAWK pads, wouldn't you think?
Wait, lemme guess, I got the racing ones when I don't race. Come on , you have a point, but if you would have read my post, you would have realized when I said I do not race, that would have narrowed the two pads down to one, don't you agree?
Anyway, I got the Hawk (NON RACING PADS). Installing them this Saturday. I will post a follow-up on how they work out.
I do appreciate the post on the "bed" solution though.
So stop with the POLL people, thanks.

Clearly, the members of the board didn't know which Hawk pad you were considering. I wasn't trying to put you down. I was merely trying to put bounds on the pad discussion.

Hawk.
I replaced the fronts with HAWK HPS pads and the dust is GONE.
An occasional squeak but not too bad, much better than the dust. You will actually learn ways to minimize or avoid squeak in how you brake as you get use to the pads.
I bedded as instructed but still some squeak, again well worth it.
