Just wondering whether anyone here has had an alignment done at the Sears Auto Center rather than at the local dealer.
I took it to my local dealer last year and the tire roar seems to be coming back again.
Ok, based on your overwhelming responses, going to Sears is a bad idea.
It's better to take my 1997 Corolla there.
Alright, I'll just take it to a different dealer then.

seriously think about what your saying. i dont even trust sears to change my tires oil for that matter touch my car.
go somewhere reputable if you have a warranty go to a dealer if they mess up they fix it for free. firestone if your on a budget, i do have a buddy that goes there with his rx7 and says they dont do a bad job, but me personally i would go to a car shop that has the capability to do such. and do it well.
honestly. if its a stock car, with stock shocks/springs and its just a normal alignment job, it makes no difference on who you go to. even a person that can fog a mirror can follow procedures on a computerized alignment rack..
now, if he was dropped with adjustable camber/toe bars, then that would be something else. the only risk @ sears is them putting marks on your rims with their wheel alignment laser rack thing.
best bet: call up your local tune shop, and as for a referral to an alignment shop for modified cars...
