I have stoptech brakes up front and stocks on back. I just bought hawk pads for the fronts and the most expensive ones that auto zone had for the rears. Still my brakes are squelling when coming to a stop. The pads i took off did not really look bad either. what could be causing this?

HPS or HP+ pads????

 

HPS Pads. The used ones were sqeaking same way before i put the new ones on. so new or old there going to squeak? i dont believe that. Could the rotors have something to do with it?

 

Monoblock brakes like your Stoptechs have a tendency to squeal. Listen in the paddock at a SCCA, NASA or Grand Am race and you'll notice this tendency. Get over it and consider the squealing as a badge of honor.
