Default New brake rotors and pads are clicking...

I just installed new direct replacement DBA slotted rotors and Hawk HPS brake pads all around on my 03 Z and I properly broke in the pads. But its still making this clicking sound (kinda like a fortune wheel, but not so loud) that seems to be coming from the rear. I had replaced the rear brakes before but never rotors. Has anyone had this happen? Do you know cause and/or solution?

sounds like you separated the clip in the emergency brake and it is rattling inside the rotor hat. does you ebrake engage at all when you lift the handle? if not that is the problem and you need to get it fixed ASAP

the ebrake works fine, but I was afraid that it was only one wheel so I took the rear brakes apart again and looked at the parking brake assembly and had my friend pull the brake a couple of time and everythig looks fine in there. It still makes the sound, my friend says it could be the pads against the slotted rotors but I doubt it. The rotors are DBA 400 series and the pads are Hawk HPS. The box the rotors came in said that the rotors take 1800 miles to be completely broken in....

Is this your 1st set of slotted rotors?

Does it make the noise while backing up? If so, it's the rotors. You might want to bed the pads again.

Default do i need new rotors with my pads

hey guys, sorry but this i a little off topic, but i am new to my350z and do not know where to start new thread.
my brake rotors are warped right now and when i went to a service center they told me that they could not be resurfaced, they had to be replaced because the 350z rotors are too soft. is what they are telling me true, or is it bs?
thanks and sorry to interrupt.

I have just installed these rotors, but with Hawk ceramic pads. At first I would hear a clicking noise, but after the initial break in the click when away. Any updates on your setup?
