I am piecing together an OEM Brembo caliper set. The pads that I have did not come with shims, and I'm curious to know if an OEM Brembo set on the car come with shims?

 

If you're asking whether or not Z's with brembos come from the factory with shims then yes, they do.

If you're asking whether or not the replacement pads come with shims I doubt they do. Nissan lists different part #'s for the pads and the shims so I doubt they package them together.

 

i think if you buy a set of pads for the brembos they come with shims... at least mine did.

 

Thanks. I was interested in if they came with shims from the factory. My aftermarket Hawk pads did not come with shims - I'm guessing I could get away without using them and just suffer from the screaching noise .

 

my endless pads didn't come with shim. I'm using no shims and no noises here.

 

Brembo brakes have attached shims from the factory but the rear pads have an available shim kit as well to make them double shims
