Warped Rotors with only 10k miles on car
MY car is on 07 with just about 10k miles. My Problem - Driving at 60mph i press the brakes i get a slight vibration.
Driving at 30mph and slowing down the vibration gets more noticable. Its more noticble at lower speeds.
So far i've things i have checked
1.Alignment is perfect car does'nt pull.
2.Wheels are balanced no vibrations at any speed
3.All wheels are torqued properly
4. Air pressure is at 35 PSI.
5. I tried driving on smoothly paved roads and it did help a little. Did'nt vibrate as much but still there
Are the brakes really that cheap on this car to start giving problems so early? Any suggestions on where to go from here Thanks...

Maybe someone has over torqued the lug nuts? Over time that will has them to warp.
Have you have the wheels off since you have had it? I know you said they are torqued right now, but sometimes shops will just use an impact to put the nuts back on

I've run this set of wheels on the car now for about 1 yr and only yesterday vibration starts... I just used the old fashion wrench and tightened that **** up when i installed them
Brakes can last a long time , some warp quick. Get them turned, chit happened, you may have overheaded them at one time , blah ba blah ba blah. Get them turned and start fresh.
BTW i know many who have track the stock 06 and newer brakes without problem. You probably just got the short end of the stick.

One thing that comes to mind, last weekend there was alot rain and alot of mud and grime inside the wheels . The car was parked up for a while before i got a chance to wash it. Do you think this could be a cause?
Thanks for any help
The problem with turning the rotors is that the thinner they get, the easier they will warp in the future. I would just replace the rotors and pads with some nice aftermarket items.
causing vibration.
and Kham: get the rotors turned if they are thick enough and buy new pads and start over. I recommend (no idea if you have brembos) Centric pads... they are cheap and they are pre-bedded so you don't have to fool around.
I haven't ever had a problem with them, or anyone I know running them.
the rotors themselves do not warp. the variance in rotor width (the only thing I can imagine you are referring to) is due to uneven pad deposit on the rotor's surface (pads have metal and other materials that wear away in them, I know you know) and improper bedding/heat cycling of the material will cause certain materials to adhere to the rotor unevenly.
causing vibration.

Non Brembo i'll def check out those centric pads
Well i ended up installing new rotors and pads today... There was about 40% pad life and driver side rotor was eaten away... I was amazed at how deep the grooves were on the rotor being only 10k miles but what the hell problem fixed..
Vibration is gone and time well spent today on the Z
Thank you everyone here for your help

I guess im too hard on the Z and i abuse the brakes
I thought this was absolutly ridiculous as well for this mileage .
If this set wears out in another 10k i'll definitely be lookin at a BBK or sumthing that can take the abuse ..
