Squeaking/creaking when braking while reversing
Hi
I seem to get loud squeaking/creaking when braking while reversing slowly. I've had all the brake pads only last week. The creaking noise was present before the brakes were done so I naturally thought the noise was because my pads needed doing. However I've noticed the noise is still present. What could it be? I know it could be that the pads need "re-greasing" (does this involved all the pads coming off again?). However could it be another part that needs re-greasing or replacing? Please note the noise is not the "clicking" you get from faulty drop links. The noise I am getting is a "screeching"/creaking noise that you would normally associate with your brakes but it could be another part of my car in this case. It doesn't seem to happen when I brake when I'm moving forward - only when reversing, even more so if reversing slowly down a hill.
Thanks for any help and info.

I've just found out it is apparently the droplinks that are creaking which sounds like it is my brakes but in fact drop links that may need re-greasing. Is it better to replace the drop links or is a re-grease adequate? My car is only 4 yrs old and a 2005 model.
I also have the "clicking" rear drive shaft issue. What exactly is involved in fixing the clicking - do parts need replacing or again is it just a re-greasing that is required? My Nissan extended warranty should cover this particular issue - just wanted to go armed with knowledge first before asking them to fix it! I know there is a TSB for the clicking rear axle for 2003/2004 cars but nothing mentioned for the 2005 or later cars - they don't seem to have fixed the issue. Has anyone here had their 2005 car or later clicking rear axle fixed under extended mfr warranty?
Thanks for any help.

Odd, I just bought a 350Z ('03 Touring w/ 47K) and the brakes were just done all around with o.e. pads. I get the same harsh squeeking in reverse, but slowing from 5pmh to 0 going forward as well. I'm thinking of taking off the pads and applying stop squeek to the back and also chamfering the edges of the pads as well.
Let me know how your repair goes!

resurrection!
I got this same damn issue, it happened after my camber kit installer removed the brakes from the car in order to get the kit in. Did anyone have a solution to this, i have brand new pads in there and new rotors
