Just lowering the car doesn't really make the ride and handling any better. You have to find the precise lowered setting that matches the cars capabilities to offer enhanced improvement over stock.

Im in the process now of installing my bilstein pss9 coil overs, but im having second thoughts. I might start it this sat at my shop.

Did you get an alignment after the lowering?

Yes i did the alignment, i think the Tokico Springs are too soft, do you think my handling will be better if i get Hotchkis sway bars?

JAMMIN: You have a large wheel gap because you are running 285/30's in rear when you should be running 285/35's with those 255/35 fronts. Basically, your rear tires are smaller than your fronts, so its making the already larger wheel gap the Z has in the rear even bigger. The Z is supposed to have larger rear wheels, not larger fronts.

You prob cannot fix with springmod, if you try to you will end up with the rear of the car lower than the front trying to fill that gap. If you want it filled, get 285/35's and youll fill that gap, but prob have to get fenders rolled.

My fenders are already rolled. I also did think the 285/30 was a problem, but i seriously doubt its going to close the wheel gap that much. I will wait until I get correct tire sizes til I do cut the spring mount though. Thanks for the input.

truth be told im not exactly positive on that. It might feel tighter in the corners, but since lowering the car already takes away most of the body roll you may not feel much of a difference (as far as body roll) when installing the sways. You'll feel some type of difference though like a quicker cornering feel in and out of the turns or a less correction factor that you have to do when taking a harder turn. ( over or under steering)

I have the stillen 3 stage sways set to stage 2 with my oem set up and i love the way it handles now. I've driven DUKEs Z with the tein coil overs and the hotchkis 3 stage sways and it feel just about the same accept with less body roll you can take the corner at more of a 90 deg turn feel sort of like an EVO if you've ever driven one. It feels as if the whole car just bam turns all at once instead of shifts into the corner, that's about it. Personally i like the feel of throwing the weight of the car around the turns instead of that forcing it to turn feel. But after i put on the pss9's i'll know my answer i guess. Luckily i can always raise it to OEM settings...whew!

How many miles do you have on your car....i was experiencing problems on my car since 70k.....finally got some sways....and after months of being afraid...i started setting them stiffer and then stiffer untill i maxxed the bars out...4th hole front and 3rd rear.

I have 100,000 miles on my car....i bet my bushings have lost some shape.....overcompensating the sways seems to have fixed everything....

I have hotchkis sways....i bet if my car was NEW that i could run less stiff settings with the same results.....you could run full stiff and go around the block and see how it feels.....I to have D-specs, but am running RS-R springs.....6 inch drop front and rear...you are at 1 inch front and rear....

you are running 375lbs all the way around (spring rates) I am running 345 front and 417 rear.....you probably need sways to balance the handling.....

Eibach Prokit w/ .5" cut off my of my rear spring mounts

Wheels are Axis Matrix 20"
Width: 9.0 Front 10.5 Rear
Tires are 255 Front 285 Rear
I cant remember exactly now but I think the offsets are something like 22 Front 30 Rear...I'll find out

PS:

I am running the D-specs at full stiff also....My car feels like a go cart now...

like i said i was running 4th hole front and 3rd rear to get it to handle like this....

earlier today i was running 3rd hole up front and softest in the rear...my car was all over the place and felt like blown shocks or weak shocks.....

stiffening up the sways for SURE has made a difference....it feels stiffer on all four corners.

I read an article about the Z when it first came out and I Quote

"running stiffer swaybars allows the manufacturer to use softer springs while not compromising the handling of the car.

You bushings are starting to wear out....sways are cheaper than stiff bushings....bushing kit is 400 shipped and 600.00 labor... i got a quote from the dealer to install...it's 1000.00 for parts and installation of the nismo bushing kit...and nissan was hooking it up on labor...turns out that i could tune it out with the sways...if it ever gets worse...i will be forced to replace bushings with better ones....

Youll be suprised how much of a difference it will make bro. I promise you that if you get the 285/35's, they will fill up that entire gap all the way to the fender....

The difference in overall height from 285/30's to 285/35's is like a difference of 1.12". so imagine taking away an entire inch out of that gap! The difference in overall circumference btw the two is 3 1/2" !!

Get the tires and your prob is solved. AND YES, do not do spring mod until you get these or you'll be screwed when you do get them.

I think i will have to buy some sway bars, i bought my Tokico D-spec used they guy said it only has 10 miles on them, i used them for about 3 k if i set the tokico shocks to the hardest side it feel very bumpy so this is why i have set two turns clockwise.

I was told to pick up some Eibach springs in place of my Bilstein pss9 rears.

I have a little gap also running Gf210 and d-specs. I just got the SPC camber kit in the mail and was thinking about doing this mod since the spring mount would be accessible.

I have a few questions.
Did you have your fenders rolled?
How much to cut to get an even stance.
Would dropping that much lower on the back end effect the ride? The gf210s are 1F/1.2R. Doing this mod will make it 1F/1.7R if you do 1/2 inch.

Here are the Specs
Racing Hart rs 721.
fr: 19x9.5 +26 offset
rr: 19x10.5 +22 offset

Tires are Toyo Proxes
fr 245-35-19
rr 275-35-19
