Default g35 Eibach Sportlines on a 350z

I got a set of g35 sportlines for free but i was wondering if they would work on my Z? im only looking for a 1 inch drop or so, nothin crazy. I figured since the sportlines sit pretty low...on the Z it would sit a little higher and be where i want it. Im wondering how much of a drop it would be, Has anyone ever done this?

the website claims it lowers 1.6 front and 1.4 rear for the g35 and the Z ones lowers 1.2 front and 1.2 rear. i just got my sportlines installed and i only have 1 finger gap front and rear on oem 18s.

Hmm so since the Z is lighter these springs should work? I read that the Z will sit about .5" higher with G springs so it should be around the same drop as normal sportlines?

if they do sit higher, you'll be looking at 1.1 front and about 1 inch rear but when the spring settle after a few day, it'll go lower. BTW...are these new??? i think these might be lower than what you want.

I want to lower it just enough so i wont need a camber kit so im thinking just like 1 inch. I think these might still put me over that if they lower the G 1.6

You are probably going to need a camber kit in the rear even with a 1 inch drop. Some people are lucky enough to be able to get an alignment to fix their camber and toe with just a 1 inch drop. But the majority needed a camber kit. Every car is different though. You may be one of the lucky ones that just needs an alignment.

Hmm well since the springs were given to me i might as well buy a rear camber kit. I have a free day today and i just want to get it done. It should be alright to run my car for a few days out of spec with the springs right?

Yes, you should be fine. Are the springs new? If they are, wait about a week, maybe a bit longer, after you put on the springs to get the alignment done. Because if they are new, they need time to get broken in and they will sag a bit.

I'm about to lower my car with springs alone. Do you think It will affect the life/quality of my shocks??

I tried doing the fronts today and their such a pain to do. I could not figure out how to get the struts off after unbolting everything. After about an hour on one side i just put it all back together and gave up. Pep Boys said they would install the front springs for me and do an alignment for $250 so i may go with that.

As with any car , yes lowering spring will destroy stock shocks quickly.

Explain horrible. I'm thinking of going w/sportlines, but undecided now.

progressive design, soft initial rates, pretty much blah all around if you care about performance at all. Unfortunately most people here are only concerned about the look and don't really care how the car handles
