SPC Front Camber Arms the worst?
#21
A buddy of mine was installing a set of SPC front ca's on another guys Z and everything went smoothly, until he tried to lower the car back down.
The part of the arm closest to the front of the car would not clear a metal bracket that was protruding out from the wheel well liner. (Headlamp assembly bracket i suppose?) I circled this bracket in red and an X where the arm was hitting.
Anyway, he ended up having to just let the car down off the jack quicker to push the arm by this peice. It was not a pretty sound man. Its almost as though the arm was too wide. I have little experience in these front arms so i dont know what to tell you about this mishap.
EDIT: Ignore arrows, pic stolen!

Stock was by far the lightest. SPL makes some BEEFY pieces.
V1 and V2 are very similar in weight despite the material change.
The biggest difference was in ease of adjustment. Although the old quick adjuster seemed simple enough changing camber between track season and street was a major PITA. The new v2 arms are amazingly simple to adjust and clear the fender and suspension with room to spare as long as you hacksaw or grind the casting bumps.

I have read some comments on the site that the SPC Front Camber Arms are the worst you can buy, I wanted to know what makes them the worst compared to SPL or Cusco. I am shopping for front camber arms but don't want to spend a ton of money. What would be the best front camber kit for the money?

No, '08 Charcoal on 19" Axis Shines.
Pic taken at our weekly meet in Clear Lake, the day after my drop. It's since settled quite a bit lower (not even a finger gap in the front) and the camber/alignment was fixed.
Thmotorsports, through the the classifieds here.
