who makes an adjustable rear spring mount??
i was reading in a magazine's tech section about a company that makes a adjustable rear spring mount, the arm that the spring sits onto has a threaded sleeve and can lower the spring more.
since my tanabe pro5's are dumped, id like to go even lower and this seems like what i need.
any help?? i lost the mag and forgot the companies name.

SPL makes a replacement for the entire rear mid link, and are made for 2.5" diameter springs...

But I think the OP is looking for just a rear spring mount adjuster, like what comes in one of these coilover kits. They fit the OEM rear mid link and OEM 5" diameter springs.

even if he has one already i still say that switching to the spl midlink is a step in the right direction.
Doesn't anyone think about damper stroke? You can't blindly lower a non height adjustable setup like the Tanabe 5 and lively happily ever after when you drop past what the system was designed to run. Bump stroke and not hammering the bumpstops does matter.
he already has coilovers which most likely came with a rear height adjuster. not all coilovers use the 5" spring either--i have seen many that use a more common 2.25-2.5" spring.

Anyway, I have not seen any rear coilover kits for the 350z that replace the 5" spring with 2.25" or 2.5" springs on the rear mid link (aside from the SPL/KTS).
I have seen the following for the rear coilover kits specifically for the 350z:
1. traditional style - spring mounted on shock (OEM spring location not used)
2. OEM style - 5" spring on OEM mid link with adjuster added on top or bottom
3. Pig-tail style - 5" spring which pig-tails down to 1-2" (approx) OEM mid link w/adjuster on top or bottom
I am only referring to items available to the general public, no custom race team setups.
Are there others I am not aware of or have forgotten? If there are others, please share.
Your advice and experience are always welcome. Unfortunately, I think most people are primarily concerned with form before function.

Argosta also uses a 5" OD progressive rear spring and springs on the rear dampers, which IIRC Kg/Mm also does if still in production.

No doubt that is the case, it's been that way since the board started in 2003. But it doesn't absolve the responsibility among those of us that know better to stand up and bring a consequence to light. We can let this place be no different then any other forum, or we can provide both sides of the issue. Not just what they want to hear, but what they need to hear. Of course anyone has the full right to screw his or her car up to whatever degree they choose, but it will not be because I never spoke up.
