Question Can I use ZR1 Brembos on the 350Z

The reason I ask is because I have all 4 rotors and calipers of a 09 ZR1 Corvette. It's a 15.5in carbon-ceramic rotors in the front and 15in in the rear. Six piston Brembo's in the front and 4 on the rear. It take a 19in wheel in the front to clear those calipers and rotors. Do you all think its possible to use at least the calipers and match a disc that fits on our Z's? ANY info would be great. Thanks.

It can be done sure, if you have the means.

Read this thread and then ask yourself is it worth it to you and do you have the means to undertake retrofitting a kit intended for another car:

Edit: Oh and if you have the parts already, don't you think it may be a little too late to be starting this thread?

It is a little late but since they were a gift, I might as well take advantage of it.

That is one hell of a gift. I can only wonder what the upgrade was to.

I'm a little skeptical myself due to this thread and some of your other threads. I mean who gifts brakes worth about 15k or so?

seriously I can't imagine a ZR1 owner getting rid of the hella-awesome OEM brakes already, even in a race application. Aside from having a full interior and not having centerlock wheels, the ZR1 is a street legal racecar.

Follow everyone elses advice, sell them and buy a car-specific BBK.

Slow down fellas with all the hate. All I asked was if it could be done. They did not come of his car, they were simply ordered of his 09 vin for a GTM project. He was not going to use them and I needed them for the 350Z project of mine. I hooked him up when he needed a sheetmetal intake for his new heads. He returned the favor. Here's what I will do after reading all that **** that the guy with the GTR brakes went through. Keep this brakes and place them on my Z06 and get a set of those BBK's.

^what......................youre still going to have the same problems as zr1 brakes. that problem being they dont bolt up to the 350z. so why do it? what makes z06 brakes easy to fab than zr1?

I think he is saying he will put the ZR1 brakes on his Z06, and then take peoples advice and buy a BBK specifically for the 350Z.

Now you're thinking...you should have started your post with "I have Zr1 brakes I got in exchange for services done, should I put them on my Z06 or bust my knuckles getting them to fit my Z?"

I think you would have had 9 people saying Yes to Z06 and one or two people saying they'd love to see them on the Z.
